Burns experienced some rear steering issues right off the bat but fought through to post a solid qualifying time. Soon enough, it was time for freestyle, and this was the result:
After driving through a snowstorm to get to the event, then experiencing some mechanical issues, Burns still powered through to put on a solid performance for the fans in Detroit. Next up is a weekend off, then Rupp Arena in Lexington comes calling. Stay tuned for more updates!

We have updated our schedule with a very busy summer portion of the year; check it out! Jim has been working away on a new truck and says “It’s coming along nicely. I can’t wait to get behind the wheel, but I’ve got faith in my current piece. This will give me the time to sit down and take my time on the new truck.” Don’t miss your chance to see Mechanical Mischief this summer!
Jim and Mechanical Mischief have been doing well lately, riding a nice freestyle to a top half freestyle finish at the sold out Metrodome in Minneapolis. Next up for the team is a trip to their hometown show in Rockford, Illinois this weekend. Stay tuned for more updates and media!
Jim and team Mechanical Mischief kicked off 2013 in Des Moines, Iowa, and enjoyed a string of solid shows with no breakage beyond losing first gear in the transmission towards the end of the final show. The truck’s performance was unaffected and the team will have everything 100% for their next show in Wichita, Kansas. Look forward to some photos on the site soon!
